O novo vídeo musical do projeto ProSounds Session traz um cantor e compositor do qual chamo atenção desde o Edital de Música Núbia Lafayette, ainda em 2010. À época, a Fundação José Augusto lançou acho que 40 CDs pelo edital. Samir Almeida entrou na rabeira, após um dos selecionados ser deferido por alguma razão que não lembro. E foi o disco que mais me chamou atenção entre todos.
Claro, havia os figurões, havia aqueles registros folclóricos fundamentais, mas música para você colocar no toca CD do carro, era o de Samir, ainda com o nome Samir Bilro. Vozeirão grave, límpido, violão bem tratado. Mas principalmente as composições, de letras e melodias muito atraentes. Não era ainda o pop que sempre senti falta por aqui, mas canções leves, de temas corriqueiros e universais.
