O escritor e poeta Marcos Cavalcanti, está lançando o seu 5º Livro de uma carreira literária que começou em 1990, quando venceu um concurso de poesia no colégio Marista de Natal.
Desde então, Marcos, que também é fotografo e ativista cultural, tem transitado entre a poesia, como no seu livro de estreia “ Viagens ao Além-Túmulo (1999), e a prosa, com predileção para o gênero crônicas.
Neste seu último livro “Travessuras de um desmemoriado”, o autor lança mão de suas memórias ou desmemórias, para narrar com irreverência as suas peripécias infantojuvenis, em sua terra natal, Santa Cruz do Inharé ou em Natal, no seu tempo de escolar.
O livro, de 139 páginas, traz 59 crônicas, onde o humor é predominante, mas também traz o lirismo de quem ama a sua terra e a sua gente.
A obra conta ainda com ilustrações do desenhista Antoniêto Pereira. A capa é assinada por sua filha Marília Rodrigues, a partir da fotografia de Delson Cursino.
Para Marcos, se o livro conseguir despertar nos leitores, as reminiscências de suas próprias travessuras, já terá valido a pena.
Na orelha do livro, o seu colega de TJRN, também escritor, Nailson Costa, ressalta: “… O seu enorme talento literário lhe permitiu antever que as imagens simples do dia-a-dia de suas travessuras infantojuvenis não careciam de uso de firulas linguístico-filosóficas rebuscadas para se tornarem arte.”
O livro foi contemplado com a Lei Aldir Blanc de Cultura e será lançado em lives virtuais, em virtude da pandemia. A de estreia será pelo sebo Letra Nativa, às 20h, desta sexta-feira, 11 de junho.
