O universo mágico do circo e da palhaçaria ganha forma nas cores e pinceladas da artista potiguar Beatriz Ferrario. Com curadoria de Janderson Azevedo, a exposição “Bravo, Bravô!” será inaugurada no dia 02 de outubro de 2025, às 19h, na Pinacoteca do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte, e marca também o lançamento do livro “O Guia do Palhaço Ilustrado”.

A mostra, que segue em cartaz até 2 de novembro, conta com maquetes táteis e audiodescrição, oferecendo uma experiência sensível e inclusiva a todos os públicos.

A exposição surge a partir de uma série de 20 pinturas originais criadas para o livro, mas vai além: reúne obras inéditas e está organizada em cinco núcleos, que exploram diferentes aspectos do universo circense. As obras destacam a expressividade dos palhaços, figurinos coloridos, texturas intensas e padrões que evocam a lona do circo — criando uma atmosfera lúdica, poética e contemporânea.

Resultado das pesquisas da artista sobre iconografia circense e palhaçaria, desenvolvidas durante sua graduação em Artes Visuais na UFRN, “Bravo, Bravô!” também dialoga com sua própria história. Ao ser perguntada sobre o porquê de retratar o universo circense, Beatriz recorda:

“Eu venho de uma família que é do teatro — meu pai, minha avó, minha madrasta. A palhaçaria sempre me chamou a atenção, não sei se pela estética ou porque, quando eu era criança, minha avó me puxava de canto e me maquiava de palhaça. Ela me enchia de pancake, colocava roupas mágicas e fazia de mim uma boneca palhaça. Minhas memórias de infância são de atuar no Presente de Natal e de acompanhar os ensaios das peças na Casa da Ribeira, onde eu também brincava na rampa de acessibilidade, que virava escorrego, ou de quando eu assistia aos espetáculos da cabine de luz repetindo as falas.”

A artista acrescenta:

“Essa exposição é uma homenagem a esse universo e também um pouco do que eu quis inventar. É minha primeira mostra individual, um momento de sair do berço para mostrar o que sou capaz de fazer sozinha — mesmo não sendo totalmente sozinha, já que sempre tem apoio, opinião e ajuda. Mas é o lugar em que me coloco à frente e tomo as minhas decisões. É muito importante ser a primeira [exposição] e eu sentir que já é algo tão grande. É uma boa estreia. Sinto que é um momento de consolidação, de poder dizer: eu sou artista, sou potiguar, sou daqui e faço arte aqui também.” Essa relação afetiva com a palhaçaria e com o ambiente teatral atravessa sua obra, reafirmando o circo como território de memória, invenção artística e inclusão.

Sobre o livro

“O Guia do Palhaço Ilustrado” é um livro interativo no formato split-pages, que combina 20
pinturas em óleo a poesias autorais. A proposta permite que leitores criem diferentes
combinações de roupas, maquiagens e adereços, aproximando-se de um jogo visual
inspirado na Commedia Dell’Arte e no universo circense. O resultado é um projeto gráfico
ousado, lúdico e enaltecedor da arte do palhaço.

Beatriz Ferrario é artista visual e atriz, natural de Natal (RN). Discente do curso de Artes Visuais da UFRN, dedica-se há cinco anos à pintura em óleo. Cresceu em ambiente artístico — é filha do ator César Ferrario, neta da atriz Carminha Medeiros e enteada da atriz Titina Medeiros —, herança que reverbera em sua pesquisa e criação. “Bravo, Bravô!” é sua primeira exposição individual, consolidando sua presença no cenário das artes visuais potiguares.
